KIWI FRUIT ENZYME ACTIVE EXTRACT TECHNICAL DATA
Functional bioactive ingredients from New Zealand grown green kiwi fruit. Clinical evidence supports using green kiwi fruit to improve digestive health and regularity, and to provide inner health prebiotic activity to stimulate the growth of good gut bacteria, digestive-aiding enzymes and to support gut health with fibre.
Kiwi fruit Enzyme Active Powder is quality freeze-dried New Zealand kiwi fruit flesh, containing high potency protease enzyme actinidin (EC3.4.22.14) that is known to assist in the digestion of food proteins. High levels of actinidin have been shown to significantly increase the rate of digestion of dairy, meat and soy proteins in a simulated gastric digestion model with pepsin and hydrochloric acid. Actinidin is highly active at stomach acid pH (1.5 - 3.5) unlike other proteolytic enzymes commonly used in supplements and food additives such as bromelain (pH optimum 4-8) and papain (pH optimum 6-7).
Our kiwi fruit enzyme active powder has very high proteolytic activity compared to other kiwi fruit powdered products. Look for the actinidin activity levels on the certificate of analysis we provide with each batch. The proteolytic activity (CDU/g) in our Kiwi fruit Enzyme Active Powder is more than 16000 CDU/g and is double that of our competitor's powder (7000 CDU/g).
We measure the activity as well as the levels of the actinidin, so you have complete confidence you are adding the right amount for your customers to see a difference.
Kiwi fruit Enzyme Active powder manufactured by us, does not contain nor has it knowingly been in direct contact with any of the commonly declared allergens or their by-products or derivatives. However, it is recognised that a small percentage of the population has an allergic reaction to kiwi fruit and therefore we recommend that people should be warned when there is kiwi fruit in the finished product.

KIWI FRUIT SKIN EXTRACT TECHNICAL DATA
Our kiwi fruit skin extract is rich in soluble fibre and polyphenols to help stimulate the growth of beneficial gut bacteria. The addition of kiwi fruit skin into your diet increases the number of Lactobacillus acidophilus from less than 1000 to over 8000 cfu/ml and Bifidobacterium bifidum from less than 500 to over 2000 cfu/ml.
Used in skincare products kiwi fruit skin extract has been shown retain moisture in the skin and to whiten.
