Wakame seaweed was used traditionally for its anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and antioxidant activities.  New Zealand Brown Seaweed is sustainably harvested from marine farms in the pristine waters of the Marlborough Sounds. Rich in polysaccharides & micronutrients to deliver the ultimate skin nutrition for hydration, anti-inflammatory & rejuvenation.

• Rich in polysaccharides algronic acid, fucoidan, fucoxanthin & phenolic compounds.
• Made from New Zealand brown seaweed, Undaria pinnatifida, this gel contains bioactive compounds & micronutrients that are cooling, soothing & rejuvenating to stressed & damaged skin.
• Water soluble and can be included in cosmetic formulations at levels 5-15% by weight.  
• Preservative free, must be stored frozen prior to inclusion in formula.

MARINE GEL TECHNICAL DATA

Marine Gel contains alguronic acid/alganate polysaccharide that improves skin elasticity, protects from UV rays and protects against ageing. Fucoidan A complex sulphated polysaccharide that has a strong antioxidative and anti-inflammatory activity (cell mobiliser). Fucoxanthin is the main carotenoid found in Undaria. Carotenoids are a class of natural pigments that inhibits skin photo-ageing. Phenolic compounds are important for their powerful antioxidant properties to support and prevention of skin ageing.
